Writer Tom Truss takes us back to his high school and fantasizes about his chance to fight back and fails, but later on in life, succeeds; Terri Gilbert tells how she exposed a Christian high-tech company that had a CEO with bad manners; Kevin Barker deflates the God Hates Fags protesters by beating them at their own game in Jenks, OK; and finally writer John Brennan tells of his high school depression and the "nothing left to lose" attitude that fueled his ferocity against the rednecks that tormented him.

An update on the state of growing up Queer in America: Producer Dmae Roberts profiles Moe, a young woman who is out at her high school in Portland and is very in love; then the story of Ryan Gill, the first out gay frat boy at Phi Kappa Psi at Indiana University and how he finds acceptance with most of his brothers when he comes out; and finally a visit to a Gay Straight Alliance (GSA) at an Arizona high school to meet some teens who find safety in numbers in their after school queer youth lounge.

Reporter Paul Mueller features the story of a surviving gay fireman from Ground Zero at the 9/11 attacks; then Gillian Kendall tells of her work to transform a small Methodist college in Birmingham, Alabama with its first gay organization; and finally Producer Barbara Bernstein peers into the twisted masterminds of the Oregon Citizens Alliance (OCA) when she befriends, reveals and ultimately defeats them at the polls.
